Create a community

Set up a community of your own and choose how it works.

Anyone can create a community, and whoever creates it becomes its owner. It is a proper setup wizard rather than a single form, because a community carries real responsibilities — so set aside ten minutes and have your details to hand.

This is the longest step. Everything marked required must be filled before you can continue.

Community NameRequired
The name members will see and search for.Must be at least 10 characters — short names like “Chess” will be rejected.
Community TypeRequired
Registered Entity for a formally registered association (a Verein with a VAT ID); Unregistered Entity for a group without one; Individual Entity for families, friends and small businesses.This is the single most important choice: picking Registered Entity adds a fourth Verification step later. Defaults to Registered Entity, so change it if that is not you.
Community Established DateRequired
The date your group was founded.Any date from 1900 up to today. Future dates are not accepted.
CountryRequired
Fixed to Germany.Community creation is currently available for Germany only.
StateRequired
The federal state (Bundesland) your community is based in.Choose this before City — changing the state clears whatever city you picked.
CityRequired
Your community's main location. Tap to open a searchable list.Only unlocks once a state is chosen.
EmailRequired
Contact address for the community. Pre-filled from your profile.If you change it to a different address, a Verify button appears and you must confirm a one-time code before continuing.

Three of these need at least ten words each. A live word counter turns green once you are over the line.

Public communities can be found and joined by anyone; Private ones are joined by invitation only. Defaults to Public.

If you want to know something about people before you let them in — which team they play for, whether they are a parent or a coach — build the questions here. Tap Add new and pick a question type.

  • Short Text — one-line answers such as a name or an ID.
  • Paragraph — longer answers such as an address or a reason for joining.
  • Single Choice — pick one from a list.
  • Multiple Choice — pick as many as apply.
  • Dropdown — one value from a compact list.
  • Date — choose a date from a calendar.
  • Time — choose a time.

For each question you add

Force a short-text answer into a particular shape: Number, Email, Mobile number or Username.Short Text only.

Your organisation's legal name exactly as it appears on official documents.

Your VAT identification number, if you have one.
Registration DocumentOptional
Official proof of registration — a VR or HRB extract in Germany, or an equivalent certificate.PDF, JPG, JPEG or PNG.
Owner ID ProofOptional
Identity document confirming you own the community.PDF, JPG, JPEG or PNG.
Non-Profit OrganizationOptional
Tick if your organisation is non-profit.

Tap Create Community and you are done. Wapoka creates an admin sub-group for you automatically, and suggests your next steps — adding admins, building form templates, creating events and sharing your invite link.
