Create an invitation

Design an invitation in a couple of minutes.

The form is deliberately short. Only two things are actually required — a title and a start time — and everything else sits under Advanced options, which you can leave alone or come back to later.

The main form

BannerOptional
The picture at the top — the first thing guests see. Pick a photo and you can crop it before it is used.Optional. Without one you get a coloured background based on the occasion type.
Invitation titleRequired
What the occasion is called, for example “Lena's first birthday”.
What kind of invitation?Required
Birthday, Party, Religious Function, House Warming or Wedding. Defaults to Birthday.Tap + Custom to type your own if none of them fit.
StartsRequired
The date and time your event begins.Cannot be in the past. Changing it clears an end time that would now be earlier.
LocationOptional
Where it is. Type three or more characters and pick from the suggestions to attach a proper map location.
MessageOptional
A warm note to your guests — why you are gathering, what to bring, anything they should know.

Advanced options

RSVP optionsOptional
Which answers guests may choose: Will Join, Tentative, Can't Join. All three are on by default. At least one must stay on.
Ask number of guestsOptional
Ask how many people each guest is bringing. Off by default.Only asked after someone chooses Will Join — so Will Join gets locked on while this is enabled.

Contact detailsOptional
A name, phone number and email so guests know who to ask.If you fill in a phone or email it has to be valid; leaving them empty is fine.

When you tap Continue, Wapoka asks how you want to finish:

  • Save as draft — keeps everything safe under Created. Guests cannot see it yet.
  • Go live — publishes it and takes you straight to the guest picker so you can send it.
